About the department:

The BYD After Sales Service Centre manages service and maintenance for our fully electric vehicles across Europe. Key responsibilities include building a robust after-sales service network, providing technical support, calculating Life Cycle Costs to assist sales, expanding the spare parts business, and delivering training programs. Focused on ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty, we are now looking for a Training Support Specialist for the After-sales Training Section. This role will be vital in organizing after-sales training and supporting training executives and engineers in delivering training to service providers and customers.

About the role:

The Training Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting the After-sales Training Section by assisting trainers in organizing and delivering training sessions. This role involves managing operational and administrative tasks related to training, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless post-training experience.

Work location:

Uxbridge, London (Fully office-based)

Responsibilities:

Program operations:

  • Scheduling and coordination of training sessions, workshops, and other educational activities.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, and multimedia aids.
  • Ensure that training programs meet the needs and organizational goals.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage trainees’ registrations and maintain training records.
  • Coordinate with trainers and subject matter experts to develop curriculum.
  • Handle logistics such as booking venues and arranging necessary equipment.
  • Preparation of training requirements such as cars, tools, equipment, parts, classroom equipment, booklets, etc.
  • Management of the BYD LMS2 training platform.
  • Management of retailer training fees, collections, and collaboration with the finance department.
  • OA system management ensuring that any training material invoices are authorized and paid in good time.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Implement improvements based on evaluations to enhance training quality.
  • Track employee skill development and retention rates.
  • Ensure that a register is kept updated for every retailer on mandatory positions.
  • Evaluate course feedback with the aim of always looking to improve our training modules.
  • Carry out regular gap analysis reports highlighting areas of concern and improvement to the leadership team.
  • Liaise with our training partners and ensure that all communication channels are kept open and objectives achieved.

Collaboration:

  • Support the development and execution of new training initiatives.
  • Act as a resource for trainers and trainees, providing guidance and support.
  • Provide operational support to the trainer during live stream training sessions, including setup and equipment management.
  • Other works assigned from line manager.

Required skills, qualifications, and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Business Administration, a technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, or a related area), or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • AI capability.
  • Capability to analyze data and create reports on training effectiveness.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Right-to-work in the U.K.

The following skills would be advantageous for the candidate:

  • Proficiency in Chinese.
  • Automotive technical knowledge.
  • Electrical or mechanical skills as a technician.
