FX Product Manager

Role Summary
The FX (Foreign Exchange) Product Manager plays a critical role in directing and managing FX products within the Transaction Banking division. Responsible for defining and executing FX product strategy, this role requires deep insights into FX flows, cross-border, and cross-currency solutions. The incumbent must effectively translate client needs and market trends into scalable, high-quality product solutions.
Responsibilities
End-to-End Product Ownership
- Lead the development, scaling, and optimization of FX capabilities across payments and receivables, overseeing all phases from concept through post-launch refinement
- Deliver complex, multi-phase product initiatives with a strong track record of successful execution
Subject Matter Expertise
- Serve as the FX solutions subject matter expert within transaction banking, focusing on pricing, execution, and settlement
- Design solutions incorporating payment flows, APIs, and file formats (e.g., ISO 20022 standards such as pain.001)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements

Product Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Servicing teams to create integrated FX and payments solutions
- Translate market opportunities and client insights into differentiated, data-driven digital products
- Align product deliverables with risk management frameworks and business objectives
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives across global regions
- Apply agile methodologies to meet delivery timelines, ensure product quality, and achieve scalability
- Define and manage product requirements using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Go-to-Market & Commercialization
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive client adoption of FX capabilities
- Define and track product KPIs, leveraging data to inform decision-making
- Partner with Sales to support client engagements, translating requirements into actionable product solutions
- Assist in pricing strategy development for growth and increased client value
Technical Product Development
- Work closely with Engineering to design, build, and enhance FX product capabilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across FX transactions, payment flows, and integrations
- Leverage data and automation to optimize product performance and enhance the client experience
Qualifications
Required
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in FX, payments, or fintech, including roles related to product management or development
- Deep understanding of FX pricing, transaction flows, and cross-border payments
- Demonstrated ability to deliver product initiatives from concept to market (end-to-end delivery)
- Experience collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in dynamic, high-growing environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred
- Experience working with FX embedded in transaction banking or payments platforms
- Direct knowledge of ISO 20022 and relevant global payment standards
- Familiarity with API integrations, automation, and data-driven product development
- Hands-on experience in client-facing product discussions and commercialization efforts
