If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Transaction Manager. This role can be based out of London, Birmingham or Manchester.

About the Role

The Transaction Manager role is to actively support a team of Relationship Directors (RD) in all transaction and execution dealings; to ensure consistent, high quality due diligence is undertaken, and that all transactions are executed in accordance with HSBC UK’s quality standards.

On a day-to-day basis, this role has diverse and varied duties. You will work closely with RD’s in the transaction execution process, reviewing terms sheets, preparing professional instructions, reviewing due diligence reports and legal documentation and monitoring and liaising with professionals throughout the transaction process.

Responsibilities

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
