Transaction Manager - Chery - Huddersfield
Are you a driven automotive professional with a passion for sales performance, finance, and leadership? We are looking for an experienced Transaction Manager to play a pivotal role within our dealership as we launch an exciting new franchise, Chery!
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of delivering outstanding commercial results across new and used vehicle sales, finance performance, and team leadership.
The Role
As Transaction Manager, you will be responsible for driving the performance of both our new and used vehicle operations while leading and supporting the sales team to achieve exceptional results. You will take ownership of F&I performance, maximise profitability across the department, and ensure the highest standards of compliance and customer experience are maintained.
You will play a key role in maximising dealership profitability, supporting the sales team, driving finance performance, and ensuring compliance across all business activities as we launch an exciting new franchise.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed new and used vehicle sales targets.
- Drive new car sales performance and ensure manufacturer objectives are consistently achieved.
- Take ownership of used car volume, stock turn, and profitability.
- Work closely with the sales team to structure vehicle finance deals in line with customer needs and compliance requirements.
- Maximise finance, insurance, and product penetration opportunities.
- Monitor and develop F&I performance, ensuring all targets and KPIs are achieved.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and performance data for management review.
- Monitor vehicle stock levels and support effective sales planning.
- Analyse financial and sales performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Support team performance, training, development, and attendance management.
- Ensure all activities comply with FCA guidelines, company policies, and manufacturer standards.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience at every stage of the sales journey.

Essentials (You Must Have)
- Previous experience in a Transaction Manager, Business Manager, or similar automotive leadership role.
- Strong understanding of vehicle finance, FCA compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales, finance, and profitability targets.
- Experience managing, motivating, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Full and valid UK driving licence.
