Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Transaction Monitoring Analyst based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some flexibility for work from home. The role involves monitoring customer and transaction activity across systems to identify unusual, suspicious, or potentially non-compliant behavior in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The analyst will review alerts, conduct research and analysis on flagged transactions, document findings, and escalate cases where necessary. Responsibilities include preparing clear reports, maintaining accurate records, supporting investigations, and contributing to enhancements in monitoring rules and procedures. The role also involves collaborating with compliance, operations, and customer-facing teams to resolve issues, improve controls, and support a strong risk and compliance culture.

- Strong System Monitoring skills, including working with transaction monitoring platforms and related banking systems.
- Solid Analytical Skills and Research capabilities for reviewing complex data, identifying patterns, and assessing potential risks.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Customer Service awareness, ensuring that monitoring activities balance regulatory requirements with a fair customer experience.
- Relevant experience in transaction monitoring, financial crime, AML, or compliance within banking or financial services is highly beneficial.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in finance, business, economics, law, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UK and international regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, sanctions, fraud prevention) and strong attention to detail are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high ethical and confidentiality standards is required.
