Team Overview

The Transaction Services team is made up of a dynamic and supportive group of individuals who are driven by building relationships with clients, not purely completing transactions. The team focuses on creating trusted and enjoyable working relationships with both clients and contacts. Established by Alex Judd in 2018, Buzzacott’s Transaction Services team has now grown to be a team of 10 and is one of the fastest growing teams in Buzzacott.

The Transaction Services team works with corporates, private equity, and banking clients on their acquisitions, investments, and financing. This position is ideally suited for someone with TS and Data analytic experience who wants to accelerate their career by developing themselves whilst contributing to a growing team.

You will be a part of a wider Corporate Finance team including a lead advisory division with a focus on transactions in the £5m to £100m space as well as a valuations team. The Corporate Finance team are all encouraged to leverage off each other’s specialisms and learn and grow together.

Role Overview

To be responsible for the delivery of financial due diligence and buy/sell-side advisory services to a wide range of clients. The role will also have a focus on data analysis, therefore it will be highly beneficial to have an interest and experience in data solutions, such as PowerQuery, PowerBI, and/or Alteryx and a high-level proficiency in Excel.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist the Partner and Directors of the team with delivery of buy-side advisory services and the preparation of both acquisition and vendor financial due diligence reports working closely with our in-house tax transaction services team.
  • Plan and carry out Transaction Services assignments to the degree agreed with the respective Partner/Director and keep them informed of the progress on the team’s jobs.
  • Effectively manage your time and costs, to keep within budget and to report to the Partner or Director as soon as it appears that the agreed time budget will be compromised.
  • Understand the specification and commerciality of the assignment agreed with the client and report immediately to the Partner/Director if this specification may need to be changed any potential additional services/fees are identified.
  • Discuss findings and issues with the client, as well as providing solutions.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to client needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be able and willing to network and build relationships with the aim over time of driving leads to the team, and to cross-sell Corporate Finance services to other Partners/Managers in the firm.
  • Preparation and delivery of financial due diligence reports.
  • Preparing insightful financial and commercial analysis and clearly communicating issues via reports, emails, and calls.
  • Preparation of Data packs, cleansing, and consolidating large volumes of varied data to allow for insightful and efficient analysis.
  • Advising clients on their acquisitions and investments, including SPA reviews, completion mechanisms, and price adjustments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
