Let's talk about the role...
As an Associate Director/Director, you will take a strategic leadership role managing a substantial portfolio and driving significant commercial outcomes. You will lead high-value projects, champion service excellence, mentor senior talent, and help shape the future direction of your service line. This is a role of real influence - where you will balance technical excellence with commercial acumen, build lasting client partnerships, and contribute to DJH's continued growth.
You'll:
- Lead and manage on financial due diligence/transaction services assignments and manage key client relationships, acting as senior point of contact on strategic accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, driving client satisfaction, and creating long-term value
- Originate and develop substantial fee-generating work, with responsibility for bringing in significant mandates from a network of referrers and clients and cultivating opportunities that flow to the broader team
- Manage strategic financial control across your portfolio - driving strong commercial outcomes through smart budgeting, effective WIP and debt control, and confident deployment of team resources
- Mentor and develop senior staff (typically 1–5 team members), fostering their technical growth, identifying emerging talent, and creating an inclusive culture where your team thrives
- Contribute to service line strategy and innovation, actively participating in business development, championing new ideas, and helping position DJH for future success
- Provide senior technical advice and expertise on complex due diligence matters and apply sound commercial judgment, offering strategic solutions, and making confident decisions with increasing autonomy
- Build and maintain strong external relationships through key networks and stakeholder engagement, strengthening your personal reputation and DJH’s market position

Let's talk about you and your skills...
Hungry for a new challenge, you'll:
- Have a proven track record leading client relationships and building a strong reputation through quality work, client service, and integrity
- Be commercially astute - understanding business drivers, managing case portfolios effectively, and making sound judgements that balance profitability with client value
- Be currently a Director/Associate Director/Senior Manager in Transaction Services
- Have between 5 and 10 years Transaction Services experience within a Top 20 accountancy firm or a regional/boutique advisory business.
- Be a confident people leader, with proven experience developing and mentoring senior colleagues, and creating an environment where they can flourish
- Have significant technical expertise in your field, with the ability to handle complex client issues independently and offer strategic solutions with confidence
- Be commercially ambitious and proactive in business development - comfortable with fee responsibility and skilled at building external networks and identifying growth opportunities
- Be an organised, strategic thinker who can manage competing priorities, work with greater autonomy, and contribute positively across the broader Firm
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified and be a confident communicator who wants to have a real influence over the future strategy and shape of the Team
