Transaction Support Analyst

Location: London

The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially minded Transaction Support Analyst to support senior advisers in managing SME business sales and acquisitions from initial preparation through to completion.

This is a hands-on role combining financial and commercial analysis with transaction coordination, research, and administration. You will work across live transactions, helping to analyse businesses, prepare marketing materials, identify potential buyers, coordinate due diligence, and keep each transaction progressing efficiently.

The role would suit a graduate or early-career professional with a strong interest in M&A, corporate finance, and the buying and selling of businesses. It offers the opportunity to gain exposure to live transactions, work closely with senior advisers, and develop a broad understanding of the M&A process across a range of industries.

What You'll Do

Financial & Commercial Analysis

  • Review financial, commercial, and operational information provided by business owners.
  • Analyse turnover, profitability, EBITDA, working capital, and other key performance indicators.
  • Assist with normalised EBITDA calculations, including identifying exceptional or non-recurring costs.
  • Support senior advisers with indicative valuations and transaction assessments.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in information and coordinate requests with clients.
  • Research businesses, industries, competitors, and relevant market developments.

Transaction Preparation & Marketing

  • Assist with the preparation of confidential information memoranda, business summaries, and buyer presentations.
  • Present financial and commercial information clearly, accurately, and professionally.
  • Research and identify suitable strategic and financial buyers for each transaction.
  • Build targeted buyer lists based on sector, geography, business size, and acquisition strategy.
  • Research private equity firms, investment groups, and acquisitive businesses.
  • Monitor relevant UK M&A activity, valuation multiples, and sector developments.
  • Ensure commercially sensitive information is handled appropriately and confidentially.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
