To support the transactional arm of the Legal & Compliance team by managing and progressing property transactions from instruction through to completion, working closely with Transactional Property Counsel.

The role is focused on driving transaction progress, managing process steps and coordinating stakeholders, while developing legal and commercial understanding of telecoms property transactions.

Transactional Case Managers play a key role in ensuring volume delivery, consistency and efficiency across the Estates programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction Management & Progression

  • Take responsibility for progressing a high volume of transactions through key stages of the lifecycle, including:
    • Instruction validation
    • Information gathering
    • Progress chasing
    • Completion coordination
  • Track each transaction against milestones and proactively drive progress
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers or delays to Transactional Counsel
  • Receive and review agreed Heads of Terms and internal instructions for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure all required information is available prior to instruction of external solicitors (where applicable)
  • Raise queries with Estates Delivery Managers or Legal where inputs are unclear

Document & Process Support

  • Support the preparation of transactional documentation using standard templates and guidance notes
  • Assist Transactional Property Counsel with:
    • First drafts
    • Document packs
    • Supporting schedules and information
  • Ensure documentation is issued and tracked in line with agreed processes
  • Collating title and lease documents and reporting on any associated risks

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a key point of contact for:
    • Estates Delivery teams (e.g. ADMs)
    • External solicitors
    • Internal legal team members
  • Regularly liaise with stakeholders to chase progress and resolve queries
  • Maintain clear and professional communication across all parties

System Updates & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems
  • Record key milestones, status updates and notes on each transaction
  • Support reporting on:
    • Transaction progress
    • Pipeline volumes
    • Completion rates
  • Ensure transparency of status across Legal and Estates teams

Completion & Post-Completion Support

  • Assist with coordination of completions, ensuring all requirements are satisfied
  • Support post-completion activities, including:
    • Document storage
    • Registration (where applicable)
    • System updates
  • Ensure all transactions are fully closed down in line with process

Continuous Improvement & Process Discipline

  • Follow established legal processes, templates and playbooks
  • Identify opportunities to:
    • Improve efficiency
    • Reduce delays
    • Enhance data quality
  • Support implementation of improvements across the transactional process

General Legal Team Support

  • Contribute to wider Legal & Compliance activities where required, including:
    • Team meetings and updates
    • Supporting training initiatives
    • Collaboration on process improvements
  • Act as a proactive and reliable member of the Legal delivery function

Experience

  • Experience working as a newly qualified solicitor, paralegal, case handler or legal administrator within a commercial property or transactional environment
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads or workflow-driven activity
  • Familiarity with legal documentation process
