Transactional Finance Manager
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid)

An established and growing business is looking to appoint a Transactional Finance Manager to lead its core finance operations function. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial controls across a multi-site environment.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in driving process improvements, enhancing service levels, and developing a high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transactional finance leader looking to make a tangible impact within a business that values continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a large transactional finance function, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control activities.
- Ensure robust financial controls, processes, and governance are maintained.
- Drive improvements in efficiency, automation, and standardisation across finance operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators and service levels across the function.
- Partner with operational and finance stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Support month-end and year-end activities where required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the customer and supplier experience.
- Manage workload planning, resource allocation, and team succession planning.
- Contribute to finance projects, system enhancements, and process optimisation initiatives.

About You
- Proven experience leading a sizeable transactional finance, shared services, or finance operations team.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control processes.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
- Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience candidates will be considered.
