THE ROLE
This is a 12-month maternity cover contract!
As our Transactional Finance Senior Manager, you'll lead the teams responsible for the operational finance activities that underpin Gymshark's working capital performance, with ownership of Inventory, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable accounting and reporting.
This is a highly visible leadership role that combines technical accounting expertise, commercial acumen and operational excellence. You'll partner with senior stakeholders across the business to optimise working capital, improve financial processes and drive automation and efficiency across our finance function.
You'll play a key role in ensuring robust financial control whilst enabling continued growth across a fast-paced, global business.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Leading and developing our Inventory and Transactional Finance teams, creating a high-performing and engaged environment.
- Owning the finance processes and reporting associated with inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Supporting the development and execution of Gymshark's working capital strategy.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities across transactional finance.
- Developing and delivering the annual roadmap and priorities for the Transactional Finance teams.
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve working capital performance and drive accountability.
- Producing insightful financial analysis, KPI reporting and balanced scorecard metrics to support decision-making.
- Supporting major business initiatives and investment opportunities through detailed cost-benefit analysis.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to drive improvements in financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Supporting company-wide budgeting and planning activities relating to working capital management.
- Leading audit activity relating to working capital balances and ensuring accurate, timely delivery of audit requirements.
- Continually reviewing controls, processes and governance to ensure a best-in-class finance environment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential Skills & Experience

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a passion for using data to drive improvements.
- Exceptional systems and IT skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong integrity and commitment to governance and compliance.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working with NetSuite and/or SAP.
- Previous responsibility for working capital management within a similarly sized organisation.
- Retail and/or e-commerce experience.
- Experience supporting businesses through periods of rapid growth.
This is a hybrid role and requires the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
