Transactional Finance Supervisor

We're delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing multi-site retail business to recruit a Transactional Finance Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a fast-paced organisation and take ownership of key transactional finance processes while supporting the wider finance function.

As Transactional Finance Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day transactional finance activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple sites. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting month-end reporting processes.

  • Oversee accounts receivable activities, including credit control and cash allocation
  • Manage billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Prepare and review accruals and prepayments as part of the month-end close
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Supervise and support members of the finance team
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies across the finance function
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and insight

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Transactional Finance Supervisor, Senior Finance Assistant, Accounts Supervisor, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable, billing, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and VAT
  • Experience working within a multi-site retail, hospitality, leisure, or customer-focused business
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or qualified by experience
