Overview
Ensures all transfer fee income and related transactions are accurately reconciled, processed, and reported for Global Capital Markets (GCM) clients. Manages a high volume of manual transactions, updating multiple systems, investigating, and resolving outstanding items, and producing profit and loss reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reconcile and process a high volume of large transfer fee transactions for GCM clients daily.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and unmatched items.
- Process fee returns, adjustments, and corrections as required.
- Support profit and loss analysis by ensuring accurate capture of fee income and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records across multiple internal systems.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively chase unpaid amounts.
- Ensure all transactions are processed within defined service levels and control standards.
- Produce monthly reporting relating to transfer fee activity and profitability.
- Escalate issues, trends, or risks that could impact revenue collection or operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and controls while working within a largely manual environment.
- Maintain strong audit trails and supporting documentation for all processing activities.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports a culture of belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Required
- Combined minimum of 3 years’ higher education and/or work experience
- Detail-oriented
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Demonstrated numerical
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Prior experience with pertinent spreadsheet software
Education and Experience Preferred
- Previous experience in a reconciliation, nostro, cash management, settlements, operations, and/or financial control environment
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Prior experience working with multiple systems
- Understanding of fee processing, cash reconciliations, and/or revenue reconciliation activities
- Experience producing operational and financial reporting
