Job Description
Purpose of the Role
To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
- Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
- Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Individual Contributor Responsibilities
- Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments.
- Identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialization to complete assignments.
- Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects, identifying a combination of cross-functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
- Consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organization sub-function.
- Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc.) to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.

Role Overview
Join us at Barclays as a Transfers & Asset Servicing Oversight Lead, where you will provide leadership and oversight of key operational processes delivered across Transfers, Asset Servicing, and Corporate Actions. You will be responsible for monitoring service performance, overseeing risk and control effectiveness, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving the timely resolution of operational issues and service improvements across internal and third-party providers.

Requirements
To be successful in the role of Transfers & Asset Servicing Oversight Lead you should be able to:
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships and influence internal and external service providers.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Transfers, Asset Servicing, and Corporate Actions processes and associated operational risks.
- Apply knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management, and control frameworks within an investment operations environment.
- Analyse complex operational issues, identify root causes, and drive effective remediation.
- Monitor service performance, challenge providers where appropriate, and oversee delivery against agreed service standards.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of governance and oversight.
- Lead teams effectively, ensuring operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Highly Valued Skills
- Experience within Transfers, Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions, or Custody Operations.
- Strong understanding of investment operations risk, control, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience overseeing third-party providers and vendor service performance.
- Strong communication, governance, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing operational incidents, risk events, audits, and remediation activities.
- Ability to interpret management information and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
