Transfers and Operations Associate
The Transfers and Operations Associate plays a critical role in managing and executing client transfer requests, ensuring seamless operations within our investment platform. You will be responsible for submitting transfer requests and applying transfer proceeds to all types of wrappers that we offer, so a good understanding of the product types and regulatory details required to accept transfers would be required. You will also be responsible for providing support to the Platform Client Services Operations Team when required, including taking telephone calls from Financial Advisers looking for guidance on the use of our platform and continually seeking to improve processes to make them more efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming and outgoing transfer requests, ensuring they are executed accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform daily reconciliation, account checks, and other compliance checks to ensure processing within agreed timeframes
- Handle volume telephone calls to resolve queries and provide client information
- Respond to email queries in a timely manner
- Liaise with other financial institutions and intermediaries to facilitate smooth transfers
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements related to transfer and operations within the financial services sector in the UK
- Work closely with other internal teams to address and resolve adviser queries and issues related to transfers
- Collaborate with the technical team to identify and implement improvements to the transfer process and associated administration, enhancing efficiency and adviser experience
- Train new starters in your team and share knowledge

Essential Requirements:
- 3 years+ experience within financial services, particularly in transfers or investment platform operations/client services
- Strong understanding of UK financial services regulatory environment
- Understanding of tax wrappers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes
- Strong problem-solving skills able to address challenging situations
- Proficient in technology and software tools, able to adapt quickly to new systems
- Able to handle volume workload and prioritize
- Data-driven mindset
- High level of attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities
- Enjoys team collaboration and sharing knowledge
- Motivated to develop career in a fast-moving technology-driven environment
- Confident taking telephone calls

Desirable:
- Relevant degree/qualifications in finance or related fields, IOC qualification preferred
Please note required to work 5 days a week in the office during probation to complete training until competent in the role, this can take up to 3 or 4 months, depending on experience
