Slalom
Slalom is a global, human-centric business and technology consulting firm. We partner with organisations to solve complex challenges and achieve transformative outcomes through strategy, technology, data and business transformation services.
Our UK&I Transformation team helps organisations make change happen, and make it stick. We work with leaders to reshape how their organisations operate, from structures, processes and ways of working to capabilities and culture, so that investments in strategy and technology translate into lasting outcomes for people and performance.
Unlike traditional consultancies, we don’t hand over a report and walk away. We work alongside our clients from design through to adoption, putting people at the centre of change and building the capability our clients need to sustain it long after we leave.
Transformation Consultant, Change & Operating Model
As a Transformation Consultant, you will help clients plan, deliver and embed meaningful change across their organisations. Change management will be at the heart of your work, alongside operational improvement, process redesign, operating model development and organisation design.
This is a deliberately broad, generalist role. You will work across a variety of clients, industries and engagement types, often in multidisciplinary teams alongside our technology, data and strategy colleagues, making sure the people side of transformation is never an afterthought.
We are looking for flexible, curious individuals who enjoy variety and learn quickly. Whether your background is in consulting, industry, or a combination of both, you will bring strong change management foundations and a genuine interest in how organisations work, and how they could work better.
What Will You Do?
- Support the planning and delivery of change management activity, including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, readiness assessments and adoption tracking.
- Design and deliver engaging communications, engagement and training activity that helps people understand, adopt and sustain new ways of working.
- Map current-state processes, identify pain points and inefficiencies, and help design simpler, more effective future-state processes.
- Support the development of target operating models, including capabilities, governance, roles and ways of working.
- Contribute to organisation design work, including structure options, role definitions, spans and layers analysis, and transition planning.
- Plan and facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions that build alignment and momentum across client teams.
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights and track the benefits of change.
- Create clear, compelling executive-level presentations and client deliverables.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and work collaboratively within Slalom delivery teams.
- Contribute to proposal development, thought leadership, and the growth of our Transformation capability, including how we use AI in our own delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
