Job Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Estimated 4–6 months
  • Location: Milton Keynes or Basingstoke, in office with some remote working (e.g. Mondays and Fridays)

  • Day Rate: £550-650 per day

Who The Person Will Work With

  • Reporting to the Transformation Lead, who is leading the transformation, and working closely with the PMO.
  • Supporting key business owners — in particular the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and their team — in detailed design and implementation.

Objective of the Role

Support key business owners, in particular the COO and their team, in the detailed design and implementation of the transformation.

Background Required

  • Experience in a technology managed services environment, particularly in infrastructure and/or service desk, in one or more of the following:
    • Owned or transformed service delivery
    • ITIL process design and implementation
    • Worked as a hands-on project manager or consultant in service delivery

COO Scope

The COO's Scope Encompasses:

  • Service Desk
  • Service Delivery Management
  • Client Reporting
  • Service Excellence / Process Improvement
  • Transition, Transformation and Client Adoption (for new clients)
  • Project Management (with existing clients)

Scope of the Work

The scope of the work will include aspects such as:

  • Identification of issues and opportunities, together with implementing them
  • Definition and execution of ITIL processes
  • Establishment of sustainable, best-practice processes and practices across the COO's scope
  • Detailed design and execution of changes to service desk operations, based on HALO, to bring KPIs and key measures to industry best practice
  • Definition and execution of key metrics / reporting
  • Identification and implementation of AI opportunities
  • Support as required for CTO and CIO functions

  • Hands-on
  • Able to adapt to the evolving needs of this rapidly growing client
  • An ally to support the COO and their team — without doing all the work for them, as they need to own the change
  • Builds positive relationships with various stakeholders, working to create momentum, consensus and ownership
  • Delivers messages in a clear, authoritative and constructive manner, in what is a friendly though busy environment
