Key responsibilities:
- Be an inspirational leader to a diverse team of change professionals, including Project Managers, Business Analysts, PMOs and specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Set the strategic direction for the Change Guild, shaping future capabilities, ways of working, and professional standards to deliver AXA’s transformation ambitions and strengthen organizational change capability.
- Champion exceptional standards of change delivery, continuously elevating the capability, professionalism, and performance of teams across waterfall, agile, and product-focused methodologies.
- Provide senior-level influence, including having open, impactful conversations with ExCo about delivery health, resource needs, organizational capability, and cultural evolution.
- Build and develop talent, coaching frameworks, and professional growth pathways, ensuring the team is equipped to deliver complex, multi-million-pound technology programmes.
- Partner with business leaders, product teams, and key stakeholders to align priorities and address challenges to build a resilient, high-performing change function.
- Oversee the evolution of the change function from traditional waterfall delivery to more mature agile and product-oriented operating models.

Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients, or attending industry events.
Your skills & experience:
- An inspiring and strategic leader, adept at managing large-scale transformation within regulated financial services environments, balancing governance, risk, and compliance requirements whilst enabling innovation, transformation, and business growth.
- Successfully led, developed, and inspired large-scale change communities and teams, driving engagement, capability, and performance at scale.
- A passion for mentoring and motivating change professionals, with a strong focus on talent development, professional excellence, and high standards.
- Experience overseeing large-scale technology programmes, including platform implementations, migrations, transformations, and product creation.
- Strong background in leading project, programme, and portfolio delivery functions across waterfall, agile, and product-led environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage ExCo and senior leaders to foster a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Ability to lead organizational and cultural transformation, creating engagement and buy-in across senior leadership teams and wider business communities.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, shaping long-term capability whilst ensuring change teams are equipped to deliver business priorities.
- As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
