Contract Transformation Director
London (Hybrid)
£800-£1000/day (outside IR35)
12-month contract
We're soon partnering with a multi-site business, who are in search of a Transformation Director to join them on a 12-month programme replacing legacy core systems and reshaping how the operation runs around them. This Transformation Director will own the project end-to-end, from shaping the business case through to landing the change with the people who will live with it.
As a contract Transformation Director, you'll be the person the exec team looks to when the programme is behind and the person the business trusts to verbalise what's actually happening on the ground.
What you'll own as a Transformation Director:
- Delivery of the transformation portfolio end to end, from business case through to benefit realisation
- A multi-workstream programme team covering delivery, change, data and technical implementation
- The senior relationship with the exec team and the board on progress, risk and spend
- The implementation partner relationship, including holding them to the commercials
- Change and adoption, so the new systems actually get used rather than worked around

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Have the commercial and stakeholder weight to hold your own at exec and board level.
- Having recently recovered a programme that had gone off track is a strong signal for us, as is multi-entity or multi-site complexity.
