Transformation Lead – Discovery / Life Sciences | 12-Month FTC | London Hybrid | London

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transformation Lead to join the Discovery function of a leading life science organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director, Discovery, you will translate strategic priorities into a focused transformation agenda delivering measurable business outcomes.

Working with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will lead initiatives across operating model design, organisational effectiveness, process improvement, technology enablement and ways of working. The successful candidate will bring strong transformation delivery, strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver sustainable organisational change.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive Director, Discovery and senior leadership team to translate strategic priorities into a clear and deliverable transformation roadmap.
  • Lead the design and delivery of transformation initiatives across operating model, organisation, processes, technology and ways of working.
  • Support the development of future-state business architecture, capability models and target operating models.
  • Establish and manage a portfolio of transformation initiatives, ensuring clear objectives, milestones, dependencies and measures of success.
  • Develop prioritisation frameworks, KPIs and benefits measures to track transformation progress and business impact.
  • Lead programme governance, including risks, issues, dependencies, resources and organisational readiness.
  • Support organisational design and changes to roles, responsibilities and ways of working where required.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Significant experience in transformation, change or organisational effectiveness roles within complex organisations.
  • Proven track record of translating strategic objectives into practical transformation plans and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Strong experience across operating model design, organisational design, process transformation and/or business architecture.
  • Experience managing multiple transformation initiatives or workstreams within a broader programme.

  • Experience within life sciences, healthcare, research, charities, foundations, public sector or other mission-led organisations.
  • Experience delivering digital or technology-enabled transformation.
  • Experience of enterprise-wide transformation or operating model change.
