The Customer

We are supporting a growing financial services organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Transformation Portfolio Manager. This is a highly commercial, relationship-led role focused on helping a broad network of independent businesses identify opportunities for growth, efficiency and operational improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with business owners and senior stakeholders to understand their ambitions, assess current challenges and turn opportunities into practical transformation initiatives. Some businesses may be focused on scaling and growth, while others may need support to improve processes, technology, operating models and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of transformation and growth initiatives across the member network.
  • Build strong relationships with key member firms and become a trusted adviser on growth, efficiency and transformation.
  • Work with firms to understand their strategic objectives, challenges and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to help member firms:
    • Grow revenue and client numbers.
    • Improve operational efficiency.
    • Reduce costs and duplication.
    • Improve processes and ways of working.
    • Make better use of technology and automation.
    • Strengthen their operating model.
    • Scale their business effectively.
  • Develop practical transformation plans and roadmaps tailored to individual member firms.
  • Help develop the overall transformation agenda for the member network.

  • Strong experience managing transformation programmes or portfolios.
  • Strong account, relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience within the wealth management and/ or IFA space.
  • A track record of identifying and delivering growth and efficiency opportunities.
  • Experience translating strategy into practical implementation plans.
  • Commercial understanding and the ability to identify opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work with business owners and senior executives.
  • The ability to influence without direct authority and build credibility quickly.
