Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Transformation Office as Operations Finance Lead, supporting the delivery of our 2030 Transformation Programme. This senior individual contributor role will provide financial oversight across operational workstreams, partnering with Finance, Strategy and Programme Management to support robust investment decisions, effective cost control and clear financial reporting to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities

- Financial Reporting: Own the Transformation Office financial reporting cycle, including monthly performance reporting, SteerCo and executive packs, variance analysis and decision-ready financial narratives.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting, maintaining alignment between programme financials, near-term targets and the broader 2030 ambition.
- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain complex cost models to support investment, resourcing and build-vs-buy decisions.

- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary Finance interface for the Transformation Office, partnering with workstream leads, the CFO Office, Regional and Group Finance, and senior programme leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
