Transformation Portfolio Director – Finance & Operations - Insurance
18 Month Fixed Term Contract
to £125,000 + 20% Bonus + Benefits
Hybrid - London - 3 days a week in office
A leading private equity backed insurance group is looking for an experienced Transformation Portfolio Director to help shape and deliver the Group's strategic transformation agenda during an exciting period of growth and integration.
Working closely with Executive Leadership, you will be responsible for establishing and governing the Group's strategic change portfolio, ensuring investment is directed towards the highest-value initiatives and that major transformation programmes are delivered in a coordinated, measurable and commercially focused way.
This is a highly visible leadership role spanning Finance, Operations and Technology, bringing together multiple strategic initiatives into a single integrated roadmap.

The Role
You'll take ownership of the Group's strategic transformation portfolio, ensuring programmes are prioritised, governed and successfully delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and shaping the Group strategic change agenda.
- Developing business cases and investment proposals for major transformation initiatives.
- Governing the strategic change portfolio and ensuring benefits realisation.
- Maintaining executive oversight of the Group Finance Transformation agenda.
- Creating and managing a multi-year strategic transformation roadmap.
- Working with senior stakeholders to prioritise investment and strategic initiatives.
- Leading governance across multiple executive programmes and steering committees.
- Tracking delivery, dependencies, risks, budgets and business outcomes.
- Driving cross-functional transformation across Finance, Operations and Technology.

Key Strategic Programmes You'll play a leading role in coordinating several major transformation initiatives, including:
- Finance Transformation
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) & IT Outsourcing (ITO)
- AI Strategy & Organisational Adoption
- Infrastructure Consolidation
- Enterprise Architecture & Application Rationalisation
- Operating Model Transformation
- Group Integration & Business Change
You'll ensure these programmes operate as one integrated portfolio with clear governance, ownership, sequencing and measurable business benefits.
This role would suit a strong change and transformation professional who has experience leading finance and business operations projects ideally within the insurance industry.
It is an initial 18 month fixed-term contract with a salary of up to £125,000 + package.
