Shape the future of transformation at Affinity Water!

We’re looking for a Transformation Portfolio Manager to join our Transformation function on a 12 month FTC to play a key role in shaping, prioritising and delivering our portfolio of business and technology change.

This is a strategic role where you’ll bring together people, investment, priorities and delivery, ensuring our resources are focused on the initiatives that will deliver the greatest value for the organisation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, provide clear portfolio insight and effective governance and help to manage risks, dependencies, capacity and delivery challenges. You’ll also lead and develop our project delivery capability, supporting Project Managers and Business Analysts to deliver successful outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

Portfolio Governance & Prioritisation

  • Lead the intake, assessment and prioritisation of projects and programmes, ensuring they align with organisational strategy and priorities.
  • Maintain portfolio roadmaps, oversee dependencies and monitor portfolio performance.
  • Provide clear portfolio reporting and insight to senior leaders and governance forums.
  • Support investment decisions and business case development, ensuring proposed initiatives are appropriately assessed and governed.

Demand & Capacity Management

  • Lead portfolio demand and capacity planning, ensuring resource requirements, constraints, skills and sequencing are understood and managed.
  • Coordinate the allocation and sequencing of work across Project Managers and Business Analysts.
  • Identify resource constraints and work with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure resource assumptions, dependencies and capacity impacts are visible within portfolio governance and reporting.

Programme Governance & Delivery Assurance

  • Provide governance and delivery assurance across strategic projects and programmes.
  • Act as an escalation point for significant risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to resolve delivery challenges and maintain momentum.
  • Ensure projects operate in line with agreed governance standards and delivery frameworks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
