Transformation Programme Training Lead

Role Type

Temporary – 6 Months

Location

Macclesfield – Predominantly remote role, with site attendance for business-critical meetings when required.

Business Function

Clinical Manufacturing & Supply (CM&S)

Your New Company

Role purpose

The Training Lead translates programme and business change into practical, role-based learning that enables colleagues to adopt new processes, systems, data and ways of working. The role leads the end-to-end training workstream, from needs analysis and curriculum design through development, deployment, readiness assessment and transition to business-as-usual ownership. The focus is sustained proficiency and business readiness, not simply course completion.

Key outcomes

  • Creating a robust training needs analysis linking change impacts, affected roles, proficiency requirements and learning interventions.
  • Role-based curricula and learning pathways for each impacted audience.
  • An achievable training plan aligned to programme milestones, deployment waves and business capacity.
  • Accurate, accessible and approved learning materials, supported by clear version control.
  • Visible readiness, participation and proficiency data to inform deployment decisions.
  • Sustainable handover of learning assets, governance and ownership into business as usual.

Your New Role

Training strategy, governance and planning

  • Define the programme training strategy, scope, delivery approach, roadmap, governance, standards and quality criteria.
  • Maintain an integrated plan covering milestones, dependencies, risks, assumptions, resources and deployment waves.
  • Provide concise progress, risk and readiness reporting, ensuring alignment with organisational, policy and regulatory requirements.

Needs analysis and learning design

  • Lead training needs analysis using change impacts, process design, role mapping, system access and local context.
  • Define audiences, objectives, proficiency, prerequisites, timing and delivery methods, maintaining traceability from change impact to learner assignment.
  • Design sequenced, role-based pathways using practical scenarios, exercises, assessments, job aids and reinforcement activities.
  • Apply adult-learning, accessibility and inclusion principles across instructor-led, virtual, digital, self-directed and workplace learning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
