Transient Aircraft Maintenance

Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) program.
• Maintain a custodial equipment accountability file.
• Maintain records of safety briefings and comply with safety directives.
• Maintain Technical Order (TO) and Publication files.
• Ensure applicable technical data, including all supplements, is used to maintain/service aircraft and equipment.
• Develop and maintain all publications required by governing directives.
• Ensure applicable reports, schedules, inventories, and forms are forwarded to appropriate agencies.
• Provide Arrival Services.
• Coordinate aircraft parking locations with Airfield Management.
• Meet transient aircraft upon arrival in a “Follow Me” vehicle at the designated taxiway.
• Check for hot brakes and hydrazine leaks.
• Install gear lock pins and safing pins.
• Insert wheel chocks.
• Tow aircraft as required.
• Provide Departure Services.
• Ensure Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) is calibrated IAW Calibration Program.
• Other duties as assigned.
