Job Title

Our Operator client is currently seeking a contract Transition Assistant Project Manager based in Aberdeen.

Please note that this is an immediate start 3-month contract.

Job Overview

Provides project management expertise to enable the successful delivery of the transition to the DevCo organisation, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while driving stakeholder engagement, business readiness, and the realisation of agreed strategic and operational benefits.

Accountabilities

Key Role Deliverables:

  • Prepare and maintain the project plan.
  • Prepare and maintain action tracker.
  • Prepare and maintain decision log.
  • Arrange meetings including regular check-ins with action owners to maintain momentum with actions, and with DevCo leadership to provide status update and seek direction on key decisions.
  • Write decision papers outlining options and recommendations for key decisions.
  • Write outsource scopes of work based on inputs from the team and manage outsource scopes through supply chain process.
  • Own the set-up of the DevCo management system.
  • Ensure relevant leavers are compliant with the company handover process.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate management of change processes including reporting expectations.
  • Escalate issues.
  • Be a positive champion for change whilst remaining respectful of colleagues.
  • Prepare and host readiness reviews at key milestones with a diverse range of team representatives and senior leaders.
  • Any other associated duties as reasonably required.

Competence & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Familiar with project management fundamentals including planning, risk management and action tracking.
  • Competent in MS Office Suite including Excel and Projects.
  • Competence in Primavera P6 is preferred but not essential.
  • An understanding of carbon storage and the energy transition is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering, energy, economics, business management or related discipline preferred but not essential.
  • Postgraduate project management qualifications and/or professional accreditation preferred but not essential.
