Cutover Coordinator / Transition Manager - Commodities - Contract - Inside IR35

A commodity trading giant are currently working on a reimplementation of OpenLink Endur, transforming the platform that underpins global trading, risk, finance, and settlements processes.

As part of this programme, they are seeking an experienced Cutover Coordinator to plan and coordinate the technical and business cutover from the old version to the new version.

You will own the detailed cutover runbook, coordinate rehearsals across all business and technology workstreams, run the live cutover event, and manage the transition into hypercare and business-as-usual support.

This is a high-pressure, high-visibility role requiring exceptional planning discipline and the ability to coordinate a large number of interdependent activities to a fixed go-live deadline, including out-of-hours working during cutover weekends.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will have:

  • Past experience coordinating cutover or migration events for large-scale trading, risk, or ERP system implementations, ideally OpenLink Endur.
  • Proven experience planning and executing detailed cutover runbooks with multiple interdependent workstreams and hard deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Front-to-Back trade lifecycle processes and how they are affected by a platform migration.
  • Experience coordinating data migration validation and reconciliation activities as part of a system cutover.
  • Track record of delivering cutover for an Endur upgrade, migration, or greenfield reimplementation, or a comparable trading/risk platform.

From a technical standpoint you will ideally have:

  • Exposure to power, gas, freight, LNG, and emissions markets.
  • Experience with formal cutover/runbook tooling (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, or dedicated cutover management tools).
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent) to accelerate runbook drafting, issue tracking, and post-cutover reporting.
  • Demonstrable ability to apply AI-assisted analysis to improve the quality and consistency of cutover documentation and readiness tracking.
  • A proactive mindset towards AI adoption — staying current with emerging tools and actively exploring how they can be applied to improve delivery outcomes in a commodities trading technology context.
