Who We Are

State Street Investment Management (SSIM) is a global leader in asset management, delivering innovative investment and trading solutions to institutional clients worldwide. Transition Management (TM) is a strategic capability enabling clients to efficiently risk-manage complex portfolio restructurings, with increasing integration across the broader Investment Management and Markets ecosystem.

Role Overview

State Street is seeking an experienced institutional sales professional to drive business development for its Transition Management business across the Middle East. This individual contributor role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and winning transition management mandates from institutional investors throughout the region.

The successful candidate will leverage State Street's unique position as a leading global custodian, asset manager, and investment services provider to originate opportunities, deepen client relationships, and position Transition Management as a strategic solution for managing portfolio change. The role requires a commercially driven professional with strong institutional relationships, deep knowledge of capital markets, and the ability to influence sophisticated investment decision-makers.

Why This Role Matters

Transition Management is a strategically important growth area. This role is critical in establishing driving revenue growth and integrating TM into the broader institutional offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and convert transition management opportunities across institutional investors throughout the Middle East.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices, Financial Institutions, Endowments, and Foundations.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of transition opportunities and manage prospects through the full sales cycle.
  • Partner with existing State Street relationship teams to identify transition events and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues across State Street Investment Services, State Street Markets, and other State Street Investment Management teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients undertaking manager changes, portfolio restructurings, asset allocation shifts, fund mergers, and significant cash flow events.
  • Present transition strategies and proposals to CIOs, investment committees, trustee boards, and senior client stakeholders.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitive activity, industry trends, and client priorities throughout the region.
  • Represent State Street at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
