Job Description/Deliverables

Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Exit Manager to lead the end-to-end transition and exit of services. The role will be accountable for planning, governance, contractual compliance, stakeholder management, knowledge transfer, service transition, operational handover and contractual closure.

The successful candidate will act as the Client's single point of accountability for exit management, working closely with our customer, suppliers, new provider, Client delivery teams, commercial, legal, service, security and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Exit Governance & Mobilisation

  • Establish and manage programme governance for the exit.
  • Chair and coordinate Joint Exit Boards.
  • Develop and maintain integrated programme plans.
  • Manage RAID, dependency, decision and change registers.
  • Establish escalation routes across all parties.
  • Coordinate, Customer, Suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Manage programme reporting and executive updates.

Contract & Compliance Management

  • Lead NS3 compliance activities.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met throughout the exit.
  • Coordinate legal, commercial and procurement stakeholders.
  • Support licence transfers, vendor novation’s and contractual obligations.
  • Manage audit evidence and assurance requirements.
  • Maintain full documentation and evidence records.

Transition Planning

  • Define and agree transition strategy.
  • Develop integrated, Customer and the new suppliers transition plans.
  • Define operational handover processes and responsibilities.
  • Establish transfer acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate asset, service and documentation baselines.
  • Manage transition readiness activities.

Service & Operational Handover

  • Coordinate knowledge transfer activities.
  • Oversee shadowing and reverse-shadowing activities.
  • Manage pilot transition and validation.
  • Coordinate service transfer waves.
  • Manage Early Life Support (ELS).
  • Drive operational acceptance and handover.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as primary Customer interface for exit activities.
  • Engage with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with all parties for transition activities.
  • Manage internal delivery, service, commercial and legal teams.
  • Present progress, risks and decisions at Steering Committees and Executive Boards.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience leading large-scale Managed Service exits or service transitions.
  • Demonstrable experience acting as an Exit Manager, Transition Manager or Senior Programme Manager.
  • Experience delivering complex contractual transitions valued £10m+.
  • Strong governance, planning and risk management capability.
  • Experience working with multiple suppliers and customer organisations.
  • Experience managing knowledge transfer and operational handover activities.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Utilities, Energy or Critical National Infrastructure experience.
  • Regulated industry experience.
  • Experience managing SIAM or multi-supplier environments.
  • ITIL certification.
  • MSP / Prince2 Practitioner.
  • Agile / Sprint Programme delivery experience.
  • Experience supporting service transition into a managed service provider.
