Job Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are delighted to invite applications for the role of Translation Project Manager within our busy and dynamic Translations Department based in Glasgow.
Position Details
- Type: Full-time, office-based
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
- Salary: Competitive starting salary of £29,000 per annum, reviewed after six months
- Probation: Three-month probationary period
Qualifications
- Motivated, hardworking, and highly organised individual
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident user of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitasking seamlessly without compromising on quality
- Previous experience within the translation or localisation industry
- Additional language skills are a distinct advantage

Role Description
As a Translation Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing translation projects from initial enquiry through to final delivery. Acting as the central point of contact for clients, linguists, and internal teams, you will ensure that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing multiple translation projects simultaneously, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring progress against deadlines
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and freelance linguists
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, preparing quotations, clarifying project requirements, and providing regular progress updates
- Selecting and assigning suitably qualified translators, proofreaders, post-editors, transcribers, and typesetters according to project specifications
- Overseeing the quality assurance process and ensuring all translations meet our exacting standards, including proofreading English-language versions
- Identifying and resolving issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption and successful project outcomes
- Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and quality standards
