Bengali to English Translator (Part-Time)
Newham, London
8 Hours per Week
£22.50 per hour
We are currently seeking a Bengali to English Translator to support a busy team based in Newham, East London. This is an excellent opportunity for a fluent Bengali and English speaker who enjoys helping people, has strong communication skills, and is looking for flexible part-time work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate verbal and written translation from Bengali to English and English to Bengali.
- Support meetings, appointments, and community engagement activities.
- Assist with translating documents, emails, and correspondence where required.
- Ensure information is communicated clearly, professionally, and confidentially.
- Build positive relationships with local residents and stakeholders.

About You
- Fluent in both Bengali and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Previous translation, interpretation, customer service, or community engagement experience is desirable but not essential.
- Local knowledge of Newham and the surrounding area would be advantageous.
