About The Role
The Transport Admin Clerk position, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, is available through Pertemps Stoke on Trent. This full-time role offers £13.53 to £14.89 per hour. Transport Admin Clerk
Pertemps Stoke are currently looking for a Transport Admin Clerk to work out of their Client based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
For this Transport Admin Clerk role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing general administrative support to the Transport and Logistics team
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the transport office
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails from drivers, customers and internal departments
- Allocating and recording delivery and collection information
- Updating transport systems and databases with accurate information
- Preparing and processing delivery notes, manifests and other transport documentation
- Monitoring driver paperwork, including PODs (Proof of Delivery), timesheets and vehicle records
- Checking and processing driver timesheets and hours worked
- Liaising with drivers throughout their shifts to provide support and resolve queries

- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy transport environment
- Previous transport, logistics or administration experience would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to help on the PM Shift for annual leave cover

- Pay Rate: £13.53PH on days, £14.89PH on nights
- Days/Hours of work: 0500 – 1700, 4 on 4 off
