Transport Administrator

We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Administrator to work with our well established client located in Banbury.

Location: Banbury OX16

Hours: 10am-2pm Monday-Friday

Pay: £15.19 p/h

Job Type: Temporary to permanent position.

Job Duties:

  • To accurately record and report payroll information.
  • To ensure that all sickness / absence is accurately recorded in line with depot procedure and maintain training files.
  • Ordering of all operational uniforms, ensuring prices are competitive and ordering of department stationery.
  • Ensure all documentation relating to period end is completed within the given timescales.
  • To ensure timely passing of transport related invoices.
  • To provide information to facilitate the collation of period KPIs.
  • To ensure that all depot personnel training records are accurate, complete and up to date including new starters.
  • Assist in ensuring that all legal, company and statutory requirements concerning the transport and warehouse operations are adhered to and that all records are correctly completed and maintained in accordance with procedure.
  • To maintain accurate and up to date spreadsheets/systems including attendance and holiday, along with reviewing the payroll system prior to transferring to the payroll department.
  • Ensure that reports are run and published in a timely manner, meeting those with set deadlines.
  • To assist the Site Transport Manager in relation to the daily operation to meet company objectives such as on time deliveries and compliance.
  • Ensure housekeeping of POs whilst adhering to the finance departments processes and procedures.

  • Strong Microsoft excel experience.
  • Ability to challenge, influence and give feedback.
  • Technical capability around systems and process flows.
  • Ability to build effective relationships within & across departments.
  • High level of problem solving and resilience.
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
