Pay Rate: £27,853.96

Grade: RCS O

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Working Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm

Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to support our busy transport operation. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the transport department through accurate administration, effective communication, and attention to detail.

Working closely with Transport Managers, Drivers, and Customers, you will help coordinate transport activities, maintain compliance records, and ensure operational information is accurately recorded and reported.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Provide administrative support to the transport team
  • Process and maintain transport documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Update and manage transport management systems and internal databases
  • Monitor driver paperwork and ensure compliance records are maintained
  • Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding deliveries and collections
  • Produce reports, KPIs, and operational data for management teams
  • Manage vehicle and driver records, ensuring information is up to date

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within transport, logistics, or supply chain
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
