My client is a large and well-established distribution organisation with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional logistics and supply chain solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join their busy transport and logistics team at their Liverpool operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administration experience within transport, logistics, distribution, or supply chain environments who is looking to join a stable and growing business.
Your new role
As a Transport Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the transport department, ensuring all administrative processes run efficiently and accurately. Working closely with transport planners, drivers, warehouse teams, and customers, you will help coordinate deliveries, maintain transport records, and support compliance requirements.
Some of your duties will include but not limited to
- Providing administrative support to the transport and logistics team.
- Processing transport documentation, delivery schedules, and route information.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, driver hours, and vehicle data.
- Liaising with drivers regarding delivery schedules and operational updates.
- Monitoring and updating transport management systems.
- Handling customer enquiries and providing updates on deliveries.
- Assisting with POD (Proof of Delivery) management and document filing.
- Supporting compliance with company policies and transport regulations.
- Producing reports and performance data for management.
- Working collaboratively with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous administration experience within a transport, logistics, distribution, or supply chain environment is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident and professional communication style.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience using transport management systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
