Job Opportunity: Transport Allocator Planner at Jewson

Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Transport Allocator Planner for our site in Bristol (Winterstoke Road), who's as passionate about great service as we are!

Job Overview

Jewson are looking for a Transport Allocator Planner to join the supportive and successful team at their Bristol (Winterstoke Road) site.

Working Hours:
7am-5pm Mon-Fri, and every 2nd Sat 8am-12pm

Location: Winterstoke Road, Bristol, BS3 2NS

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate transport operations alongside the Branch and Transport Managers to meet customer demands
  • Communicate effectively and facilitate good working relationships with drivers, suppliers, and customers
  • Utilise Excel and Word to create transport schedules and reports and manage associated administrative tasks
  • Manage logistics, including route planning and vehicle allocation
  • Drive continuous improvement in transport processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies

Required Skills and Experience

  • Logistic and transport planning experience with awareness of Transport Legislation
  • An understanding of building materials would be desirable
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong IT skills and regional geographic knowledge
  • Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
