Walters Coaches is seeking an experienced and motivated Transport & Compliance Manager to join our growing team based at Lyehill Quarry, Forest Hill, Oxford.
This is a key management role responsible for ensuring the continued compliance, safety, and operational efficiency of our PSV fleet and driving team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining PSV operator compliance standards
- Overseeing vehicle compliance, inspections, maintenance schedules, and defect reporting systems
- Monitoring and managing driver compliance, including drivers’ hours, tachograph regulations, and licence checks
- Delivering driver training, inductions, and ongoing development
- Implementing, reviewing, and updating company policies and procedures
- Supporting operational improvements and ensuring best practice across the business
- Liaising with drivers, workshop providers, and management to maintain high safety and compliance standards
- Assisting with audits, investigations, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor route optimization, driver efficiency, and performance

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within the transport, coach, bus, or logistics industry
- Strong understanding of transport compliance and operator licensing requirements
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Transport management experience or compliance management background

Desirable Qualifications
- PSV Transport Manager CPC qualification (or currently working towards it)
- Category D driving licence advantageous but not essential
