Key Responsibilities
- Confirm delivery times with Customers and loading times with Hauliers.
- Create Warehouse loading schedules to ensure the correct picking order for deliveries.
- Action all Stock return requests from DHL Manton Wood to Middleton.
- Liaise with McBride Order Management Team, Customer Logistics DHL, and 3rd Party Hauliers to confirm customer delivery and loading slots are adhered to with Hauliers.
- Liaise with 3rd Party Hauliers, Customer Logistics, and both Internal, External Warehouses to ensure CSL targets are achieved.
- Check and action all new orders, securing delivery slots and updating systems.
- Provide cover when required for absences for colleagues and the Transport Team Leader.
- Ensure all pallets are ordered on time and all transactions are entered on relevant systems.
- Ensure all Purchase Orders are raised within the financial periods.
- File & keep an audit on invoices and delivery notes.
- Attend operational meetings with 3rd Party Hauliers when required.
- Attend a weekly call point meeting with 3rd Party Hauliers to discuss any concerns or raise issues.
- Ensure all critical samples are ordered on time and recovered on site for customers.
- Using SAP, check & confirm delivery times with Customers and loading times with Hauliers, ensuring the information is correctly entered onto SAP or relevant system in a timely manner.
- Daily checking post-dated deliveries and acknowledging any failures, additionally checking updates on failures and their progress action to either rebook or return to stock.
- Raise weekly reports on costing & check transport rates are correct and up to date for all deliveries out of DHL Manton Wood, Middleton, and Great Bear depots. Thereafter, raise Purchase Orders, confirm receipts, and forward them to the finance teams for payment approvals.
- Morrisons dispatch checks on PODs for discrepancies, recording any findings and passing this data on to the Stock & Systems team members.
- Work with the master data team on any queries.
- Uplift with the investigation, book the collection with the customer and DHL or another haulier.
- Monitor daily interface transactions with 3PLs & GIS to ensure completeness.
- Investigate and resolve any differences & EDI failures.
- Produce reports as required providing others both internal & external with essential information, discrepancies & exceptions.

Key Result Areas
- All information is entered on to SAP or relevant system in a timely manner.
- Complete & communicate daily Warehouse loading schedules.
- Process all sales orders once released.
- Complete daily load graph and email to distribution list.
- Communicate daily delivery schedule to the hauliers.
- Ensure all Purchase Orders are raised.
- Monitor interface files at set points throughout the day (real time).
- Close down disputes within 24-48 hrs depending upon severity (Specifically linked to Uplifts).
- Produce monthly reports as required – input into monthly KPI/SLA with 3PLs.

Behavioural Competencies / Personal Characteristics
- Self starter – ability to work proactively using own initiative.
- Good Communication Skills – both written & oral.
- Work accurately in a demanding environment.
- Good telephone manner.
- Basic knowledge of the wider business is required.
Technical Competencies & Qualifications
- Fluent in English – good conversational ability.
- High level of numeracy and a good level of literacy.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics.
- Good system & analytical skills.
- Ability to use & understand third party systems.
- Advanced SAP User – ideally expert level.
- Good Excel skills – used for manipulating large data sets.
- PC Literate – in Word, Outlook & Internet.
- Ability to understand & use 3rd party warehouse management systems.
