Compliance Manager

Salary: £38,000 - £41,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Transport Compliance professional looking to join a growing logistics business where you can make a genuine impact? Our client is a well-established transport and distribution operation operating within a leading pallet network. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Compliance Manager to take ownership of transport compliance, fleet standards, and driver development across the operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who enjoys working closely with drivers, operational teams, and senior management to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the senior leadership team, the Compliance Manager will play a key role in maintaining Operator Licence compliance, supporting transport operations, and driving best practice across the depot. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to coach, influence, and develop people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain full compliance across the Operator Licence requirements.
  • Monitor and manage drivers' hours, tachograph compliance, and Working Time Directive adherence.
  • Deliver driver training, coaching, and ongoing development initiatives.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure fleet compliance standards are consistently achieved.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, infringements, and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of driving and transport colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, drivers, external providers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Produce and analyse compliance and operational KPI reports, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures remain aligned with industry legislation and best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
