At Gist, we're proud to be part of the M&S Group, the logistics engine behind M&S Food.

From our distribution centres to our transport operations and support functions, we connect people, technology and expertise to ensure the right products reach the right stores at the right time.

As we continue to invest in our people, technology and network, there's never been a more exciting time to join Gist and help shape the future of food logistics.

Are you organised, confident with people and comfortable keeping things moving in a fast-paced operation?

We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator to join our Milton Keynes team, playing a key role in the day-to-day delivery of our transport operation.

Sitting at the heart of the transport office, you'll be one of the main points of contact for our drivers throughout their shift. From briefing and debriefing drivers and monitoring routes to responding to live issues and completing essential administration, you'll help make sure the operation runs safely, efficiently and on time.

You won't have direct line management responsibility, but you'll work closely with a driver population of approximately 25 colleagues on a typical day, so we're looking for someone who is confident communicating with people, comfortable having clear conversations and able to build strong working relationships.

Previous transport experience would be beneficial, but isn't essential. If you've worked within a fast-paced operational environment and can demonstrate strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Transport Coordinator, you'll work closely with the Transport Shift Manager and wider operation to keep everything running smoothly throughout the day.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
