Are you an experienced transport administrator looking for a position that you can really make a difference in? Do you like the idea of supporting the transport function on a brand-new key contract for one of the biggest, fastest-growing names in logistics? Are you ready for your next challenge?
We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator to support on our site in Ketton. Your role will be to co-ordinate the transport operations of the depot in order to achieve business objectives and the needs of the customer. Working Monday to Friday core hours (with some flexibility – this is logistics after all).

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,750 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Dispatch routes to achieve contractual delivery times, conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan.
- Ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management.
- Ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets.
- Ensure that the procedure for damaged deliveries is followed where necessary.
- Use all IT-based systems in the effective delivery of their role including YMS, Sphere & WTS.
- Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. debrief of drivers, dealing with customer issues etc.
- Ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management.
- Conduct relevant QHSE activities: Care Cards, Bsafe, Safety Conversations etc.
- Identify and highlight to management any potential improvement opportunities.
- Manage all third-party contractors whilst on site including subcontractors, agency, and maintenance providers.
- Carry out resource planning for agency drivers.
- End of day checks, making sure all keys are securely stored.
- Entering timesheet data onto the Payroll spreadsheet.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation.
- Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements.
- Effective Customer Service Skills.
- Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Operational understanding of team roles.
