SEABRIDGE® has its core competencies in Overnight Express Groupage and Full Load Freight to and from the island of Ireland, with offices and warehouses in Haydock, London, Antrim, Dublin and Cork operating scheduled logistics services to and from all five locations. SEABRIDGE® specialises in Hazardous Cargo, each office has a DGSA, all consignments shipped are fully compliant with all ADR and IMDG regulations

SEABRIDGE® operates Express Groupage LTL and Full Load Services FTL, European LTL / FTL Trailer Services, Bulk Chemical Tanker Service, Freight Forwarding Worldwide, Warehousing, Ocean Freight Service and World Air Freight Service.

The Role

Seabridge have a vacancy for a Transport Co-ordinator based at our Belfast branch. Reporting to the General Manager.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Proof of Delivery scanning.
  • Preparation of Export Documentation and final manifests-including Dangerous Goods Notifications (DGNs) for onforwarding to shipping lines.
  • Plan, direct and control all UK import activities on a day-to-day basis, including booking onto the Azyra freight system, obtaining all paperwork to meet customs requirements and ensure customers transit times are met.
  • Maintain all files ensuring they are costed and invoiced prior to export, delivery or release.
  • Provide 3rd Party transport companies with the relevant information to ensure customer collection / delivery requirements are met.
  • Develop constructive relationships with key customers, understanding the clients’ business and meeting their shipping needs.
  • Identify and provide early warning to the manager on any issues and problems that could have an adverse effect on deadlines.
  • Promote and maintain image, procedures and standards as set and with management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of logistics documentation.
  • Maintain and update internal systems to support the movement of goods.
  • Action other ad hoc duties as requested by manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months experience in groupage shipping transport environment is preferable.
  • Experience in the completion of Dangerous Goods Documentation and experience of dealing with Hazardous Consignments would be of benefit but not essential.
  • Good knowledge and experience of exports and customs procedures would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Able to work toward and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate.
  • Possess team player qualities.
  • Ability to plan.
  • A proactive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A full clean driving license and own transport is required.
