About The Role

Workmate Agency are currently recruiting for our client a Transport Administrator (Nights). You will be responsible for all transport administrative tasks and ensuring that transport legislation is complied with.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure that all drivers are deployed, and statistics recorded into the transport system.
- To ensure that all drivers are debriefed at point of return to depot, and statistics recorded into the transport system.
- POD’s scanned onto the system
- Check drivers returns note is completed in full by driver, so credit can be issued to customer. Ensuring the returns note is attached to the POD.
- Download driver digital tachographs as part of debrief and report any driver infringements.
- Ensure all POD’s are returned by customers, and all POD’s are signed and dated by customer.
- To ensure all defects are recorded on defect log
- To ensure all POD’s are printed before the route is due out
- Filing of paperwork (Completed defects, Nil Defects etc.)
- Key Management – Ensure all customer keys are signed out and back in, ensuring that they are placed back in the key cabinet on return to depot.
- Ensure all Backhaul paperwork is completed in full by the driver
- Escalating issues to Line Manager where applicable
- To ensure all requests via email for collections from are actioned, and relevant paperwork inputted into driver’s route pack
- To ensure all drivers have a fridge printout of the journey
- Maintaining communication between all in house departments
- To ensure all vehicle breakdowns at road side are phoned through to relevant party and that the Transport Manager is notified of breakdown, so customers can be contacted.
- To ensure all IDT (Inter Depot Transfers) paperwork is printed before the trunk is due out
- To ensure all allocated vehicles are inputted against route number on the tasking spreadsheet.
- To ensure the driver has the tools to complete the route, i.e. – maps, keys etc. as part of the route pack
- Update vehicle status board, with vehicle VOR’s
- To ensure the operation is legally compliant at all times (Driver hours, WTD, Vehicles)
- Ensure holiday request forms/payroll issues are passed on to the relevant manager
