Join our Community Join Community’s Transportation EMT Resource Team. The Resource Team offers flexible 12-hour shifts with competitive flat rates, offering multiple commitment shifts. Make a Difference Community's EMS team has an opportunity available within our transport resource team. The EMT is responsible for transporting patients safely within Community Health Network or other healthcare facilities. They are responsible for driving an emergency vehicle safely, monitoring the patients during transport, providing treatment within scope of practice as outlined by the IDHS. They report to EMS supervisor and is under the direction of EMS medical director and/or paramedic. This position attends to patients of all ages and genders. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. In addition, the following are required: High School Diploma or GED + 6 months certificate program is required. Valid Indiana driver’s license required. One (1) year of experience working as a EMT, or ED Technician is preferred. Demonstrates customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experience. Strong critical thinking and communication skills. Demonstrates ability to respectfully address interpersonal conflicts. Accepts accountability for own actions. Demonstrates openness to change and new learning. Required Certifications/Licensures:(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR),Current Indiana Driver's License with valid vehicle insurance) One of the following is required Certifications/Licensures:(Emergency Medical Technician (EMT),If not currently certified in Indiana, out-of-state Medic/EMT must have valid registration, and pass practical and written exams within 60 days of hire to be certified in Indiana.)
