Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift Patterns: Tuesday to Saturday, 40 hours per week, 6am to 2pm
Location: Hatfield

We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to take the helm of our daily transport operations!
What You'll Do
- Accountable for safe, legal, and efficient execution of transport operations supporting the SLA's / KPI's
- Accountable for driver and fleet compliance in line with legal and DHL standards
- Be the point of escalation for day-to-day operational issues management and resolution for transport
- Responsible for delivering a safe, efficient, and effective workplace and the driver teams
- Day-to-day management of colleagues within the team including absence (annual leave & sickness) and ensuring escalation of cases when appropriate to the Transport Operations Manager
- Responsible for EOS within the team, creating, driving, and managing associated action plans
- Responsible for ensuring system compliance i.e. Logics, DPM, and transport systems
- Support delivery of driver cost efficiencies within the transport operation
- Support with the management of operational costs and identification of cost performance trends - i.e. fuel performance / accidents, etc.
- Support the Transport Operations Manager in identifying and implementing cost efficiency projects / continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage absence, disciplinary, and grievance in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures
- To schedule, prepare, and conduct quarterly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines
- Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.

What You'll Bring
- Preferable Transport experience
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Good degree of IT literacy including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds, and providing coaching and mentorship
- Have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
