Spectrum Brands
Spectrum Brands is a global consumer products company with a portfolio of trusted, market-leading brands, including Remington, Russell Hobbs, Black & Decker, George Foreman and PowerXL. Operating across multiple categories, channels and international markets, we combine strong brand heritage with a focus on growth, innovation and expanding our direct-to-consumer presence.
As our international operations continue to evolve, effective transport, import and supply-chain coordination is essential to ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and on time. We’re now looking for a Transport & Import Specialist to join our team in Failsworth, Manchester, playing a key role in coordinating international transport, export activity and Direct Import shipments across our markets.
The Role
As Transport & Import Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of international transport and Direct Import shipments across assigned markets.
You’ll work closely with Customer Service, warehouses, our 3PL partners, customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers and customers to make sure shipments are planned, documented, cleared and delivered on time.
This is a hands-on operational role where attention to detail, strong organisation and proactive communication are essential. You’ll manage multiple shipments and deadlines at the same time, identify potential issues early and take ownership of resolving transport, customs and documentation challenges.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
