Ready to take ownership of a busy transport operation where no two days are the same?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected business working behind the scenes of some of the UK's most prestigious music and live events. You will play a central role in making sure specialist equipment reaches the right venue, at the right time, every time.
The opportunity
Our client is a privately owned, ambitious organisation that designs, builds, transports and supports specialist equipment used at major venues, concerts and productions nationwide. Their reputation is built on premium service, attention to detail and dependable delivery.
As the business continues to grow, they are creating a brand-new Transport Manager position. This is an opportunity to shape the transport function, lead a small driving team and build efficient processes that directly support operational success and future growth.
What You Will Be Doing
This is a hands-on, mainly site-based role combining transport planning, logistics coordination and team oversight. Working closely with the engineering team, you will manage the movement of specialist equipment to events, venues and client locations across the UK.
You will oversee a team of three drivers and occasionally step in to drive the company's 3.5-tonne vehicle when a team member is unavailable. Over time, the role is expected to develop into a broader strategic transport management position, with responsibility for additional vehicles and drivers.
Transport planning and team coordination
- Plan and coordinate nationwide equipment deliveries and collections.
- Oversee three drivers and manage schedules to maximise vehicle utilisation and efficiency.
- Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements, priorities and deadlines.
- Monitor routes, travel plans and delivery timings, responding quickly to last-minute changes.
- Maintain accurate delivery schedules, transport records and supporting documentation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
