FMCG Manufacturing | Transport & Fleet Logistics | Operational Efficiency

Location: West Midlands (UK-wide site travel)

Interim contract: on-going

Excellent day rates

Are you an experienced Transport Manager with a strong understanding of fleet operations, logistics and cost optimisation?

This is an excellent interim opportunity to join an established FMCG food manufacturer with a multi-site UK operation, taking a hands-on role in improving transport performance, coordinating activity across sites and driving greater efficiency.

The role:

You'll take ownership of day-to-day fleet and transport performance while developing longer-term strategies to improve efficiency, control costs and support the wider logistics operation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing fleet performance, utilisation and operating costs
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce transport spend
  • Coordinating transport and fleet requirements across multiple UK sites
  • Reviewing vehicle requirements, routes, scheduling and fleet utilisation
  • Overseeing compliance, safety, maintenance and vehicle availability
  • Working closely with site, operations and logistics teams across the UK
  • Developing longer-term fleet and logistics strategies
  • Analysing transport data and implementing practical improvements
