Transport Manager – Sovereign Transport Services
Location: Liverpool / Leyland

Ready to steer your career in the right direction? We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to take the wheel of our logistics operations and keep our nationwide distribution running as smoothly as a freshly polished chrome tap.
As part of the Victorian Plumbing Group, we deliver top-tier bathroom products to homes across the UK every single day. Now, we need a compliance champion to ensure our fleet operations remain completely watertight.
What You'll Be Doing
- Keep Us Flowing: Take ultimate accountability for fleet compliance, operator licence undertakings, and vehicle roadworthiness, making sure every journey is plain sailing.
- Drive Talent: Oversee our in-house driver trainers and lead the charge on launching and developing our brand-new driver apprenticeship scheme, helping us nurture the next generation of logistics talent.
- Stay on Track: Monitor drivers' hours, tachograph compliance, and statutory rest periods to keep operations legally compliant and running like clockwork.
- Tighten Up Loading: Oversee vehicle loading operations to guarantee loads are secure, balanced, and safely within legal weight limits before they hit the road.
- Audit Ready: Maintain bulletproof transport records and act as our key liaison with the DVSA and Traffic Commissioner.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven professional experience as a Transport Manager in a fast-paced logistics, transport, or retail distribution environment.
- A valid National or International Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage.
- Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of UK transport legislation, DVSA regulations, and operator licence undertakings.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing staff, driving training initiatives, or overseeing vocational apprenticeships.
- Excellent administrative and audit-readiness skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
